Introduction to Spring and Autumn Yancheng Tourism Area in China
Spring and Autumn Yancheng Tourism Area in China is located in Wujin District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and has once been rated as national 5A Tourist Attraction in 2017.
Yancheng Tourism Area has a total planning area of 3.2 square kilometers with four blocks: Spring and Autumn Yancheng Relics, Yancheng Spring and Autumn Park, Yancheng Wildlife World, and Yancheng Traditional Business Street.
Spring and Autumn Yancheng Tourism Area in China brings back the refulgent history and culture of the Spring and Autumn era in an all-round way by reproducing cultural scenes, actively creates Chinese Spring and Autumn culture characteristics, and forms a tourism complex integrating tourism, leisure, entertainment, popular science, shopping and catering. “Center is Beijing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Xi’an in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and Yancheng in the Spring and Autumn.” Spring and Autumn Yancheng Tourism Area is just like an effulgent pearl showing its gloss in the Yangtze River Delta.
Introduction to Yancheng Relics
Yancheng Relics in the Spring and Autumn period has over 2,700 years of authenticated history. It is a well preserved and unique Spring and Autumn ground city site in China with 850 meters long from east to west and 750 meters wide from north to south, and a total area of about 650 thousand square meters. Its size feels just the same as the record of “Three Mile City and Seven Mile Fort” in Mencius. More than a thousand precious cultural relics were unearthed from the site, including 4 canoes, more than 20 bronzes, and a large number of primitive celadon and pottery. Yancheng Relics was listed as a national key cultural relic protection site in 1988. It won gold award of United Nations Environmental Sustainable Development Project in 2009.
Introduction to Spring and Autumn Park:
As the core area and pillar industry of Yancheng Tourism Area, Yancheng Spring-Autumn Amusement Land, was the first Spring and Autumn culture theme park in China. Spring and Autumn Park was built in the east and north of Yancheng Relics. It is based on political, military, economic, and cultural aspects of the Spring and Autumn period. It combines static viewing projects, interactive performing arts projects and experiential amusement projects in the form of situational experience under artistic conception of Spring and Autumn culture. Environmental atmosphere layout of the park is unique, with not only distinct historical and cultural characteristics of the Spring and Autumn period, but also modern aesthetic and fashion elements, reflecting creative integration of tradition and modernity. Modern technologies have been adopted in all equipment and facilities, integrating Chinese traditional culture, extending cultural connotation through theme amusement and performance, and increasing participation, interaction and entertainment of tourists. Creativity of the project has set and maintained a number of records in domestic tourism industry.
Introduction to Yancheng Wildlife World:
Located in the southwest of Yancheng Relics area, Yancheng Wildlife World is a large-scale comprehensive theme zoo integrating animal protection, wild interest viewing, leisure, entertainment, and popular science education, characterized by large-scale ecological free range of wild animals, self-driving viewing, and international circus performance. It is a self-driving tourist attraction favored by tourists. Covering an area of 2,000 mu (133.3 hectares), the park is where more than 200 species of nearly 10000 single animals rated as rare and endangered wild animals from all over the world are kept for viewing.
Introduction to Yancheng Traditional Business Street:
Located in the east of Yancheng Relics, Yancheng Traditional Business Street has Jian Lake and three ancient streets Fengle Neighborhood, Changle Neighborhood and Yile Neighborhood. The three ancient streets are close to Gangbei River, placid, well-kept, and picturesque. Yancheng Museum, Wujin Culture Museum, Yuan Xiaoyuan Art Museum, and Yaoling Bell Tower also stand in between showing historical inheritance of Wujin culture.
